TOMM is a robot that was built at the ICS. It consists of two UR-5 arms and a base (Compact omni-directional mobile platform). The arms of TOMM are currently equipped with robotic skin cells.

It has two Allegro hands also equipped with robotic skin cells. TOMM's hands and arms are covered with 644 cells. These cells allow it to perceive its environment and thus be able to produce an adequate reaction to any events. The main idea behind this technology is to enhance the safety in Human-Robot-Collaboration (specially in close interactions) and generate more intuitive robot programming.
