Are you interested to join?

If you are interested to join the RoboCup Humanoid-team of TUM, please register for the courses, which we offer every semester:

1) Introduction to Humanoid RoboCup: The  students will be divided into three groups. They implement basic algorithms in robot vision, robot learning, path planning, walking in NAOs to enable each robot perform a set of  basic task such as ball detection and tracking, localization, and kicking.

2) Advanced Humanoid RoboCup: Each group of student designs, implements, and tests advanced robot control algorithms enabling the them to play a soccer game. The final goal is to participate in the RoboCup competition which is an international initiative that fosters research in robotics and artificial intelligence.

Requirements: Bachelor students should have passed their first two semesters. Students should have basic programming skills in C / C++. Additional skills in Python, MATLAB, and Robot Operating System (ROS) are highly beneficial, but they can also be learned during participation.

ICS is leading the cooperation of several TUM chairs, all involved in the Center of Competence for Robotics, Autonomy and Interaction at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Chairs involved are:

Chair for Cognitive Systems (Prof. Cheng/coordinator)

Chair for Automatic Control Engineering (Prof. Lee, Prof. Wollherr, Dr. Leibold)

Chair of Information-oriented Control (Dr. Sosnowski)
